- Retired Rear Admiral and a graduate of the USCGA Class of 1978 (B.S. in Economics & Management). Also received Master of Science degrees from R.P.I. (Human Resource Management) and Florida State University (Human Performance Technology)
- Served over 40 years in the USCG. Commanded four ships and specialized in Operations; Training; and Joint and Interagency work
- Currently lives in St. James, North Carolina with wife Pam.
- Involved with The Random Act of Kindness Tour because:
“We can do a lot of good for people who are in need. We are not beholden to anyone and can direct needed assistance in ways that some organizations are not able to. All that, and we will have fun doing it”!
- Retired Captain and a graduate of the USCGA Class of 1978 (B.S. Engineering Management). Federal Acquisition Professional (Defense Acquisition University) and Master’s Certificates in Program Management and IT Program Management (The George Washington University)
- Served over 28 years in the USCG. Commanded 2 Cutters and specialized in Operations; Environmental Management; and Homeland Security Management
- Currently resides in Beaufort, South Carolina
- Involved with The Random Act of Kindness Tour because:
“I enjoy the comradery of my classmates and other CG friends and am proud of the initiative that our annual gathering developed, an external purpose to give back to the communities in need through our golf events. Being invited to serve on the RAoKT Executive Committee will allow me to bring my experience and skills to ensure our small group, in some small measure, continues to give back to those that will benefit from our charitable efforts”.
- Retired Captain and a graduate of the USCGA Class of 1979 (B.S. Marine Science). Also received Master of Science degree from The John Hopkins University (Chemical Engineering)
- Served 30 years in the USCG. Most of his career focused on the service’s marine safety mission, which includes commercial ship safety inspections, casualty investigations, port safety and security, mariner licensing, and ship registration.
- Currently lives in Mooresville, North Carolina with wife Julie.

“It’s a wonderful opportunity to raise money for worthy causes and, at the same time, share golf and good times with my fellow board members, and friends I have known for over 40 years. It just doesn’t get any better than this.”
- Retired Commander and a graduate of the USCGA Class of 1979 (B.S. in Mathematics). Also received Master of Business Administration from Arizona State University.
- Served 11 years in the USCG. Has over 40 Years of experience in financial services with a focus on finance and operations. Worked for Price Waterhouse in their consulting division focused on mergers and acquisitions; had several positions during his tenure at Bank of America; and is currently the COO and CFO for The Forge Companies.
- Currently lives in Mooresville, North Carolina with wife Pat.
- Involved with The Random Act of Kindness Tour because:
“Professionally I work with families dealing with catastrophic injuries that have changed their lives; many having to deal with lifelong injuries and loss. Working with these families, you see how the simple things and small gestures can brighter their day as they deal with these new struggles and challenges. The RAoKT is an opportunity to partner with folks that have be fortunate in life, enjoy celebrating the fruits of our success, but do something that will brighten someone’s day”.
- Retired Captain and a graduate of the USCGA Class of 1978 (B.S. in Government). Also received his Master of Business Administration (University of Houston) and Masters in National Security and Strategic Studies (Naval War College)
- Spent over 30 years in the USCG. Commanded three Cutters and specialized in field operations and disaster response. Went on to spend 11 years as a Field Coordinating Officer (FCO) with FEMA as presidential appointee
- Currently lives in Bonita Springs, Florida with his wife Mary Ellen

“The Random Act of Kindness Tour was going to happen sooner or later in some form because giving back is in this group’s DNA! Probably why so many of us gravitated to the missions of the Coast Guard almost 50 years ago. We care! Let’s Go!”
